Ion Exchange Process
  • High-quality synthetic resin exchanges sodium ions for calcium and magnesium ions.
Softening Cycle
  • Hard water flows through the resin bed, producing soft water with low residual hardness.
Regeneration
  • Resin is regenerated using a simple salt (NaCl) solution, preparing it for the next cycle.

Resin-based Softeners
  • Most popular type. Uses sodium-based resin. Effective for hardness between 300-600 ppm.
Membrane-based Softeners
  • Utilizes RO membranes. Removes other minerals too. Ideal for hardness above 600 ppm.
